Arsenal was one of the first clubs to display sponsorship on their jerseys. This 1979-80 season jersey was used in their European Cup Winners Cup campaign. By the 1980s English clubs began to import players from outside of Britain. This 1981 Uefa Cup Final jersey was worn by Dutch international Frans Thijssen for Ipswich Town. Winning 6 of their record 18 league titles during the 1980s, Liverpool is the most decorated club in England. This jersey was from their double winning season of 1985-96.

Former East German international Ulf Kirsten was the first player to reach a total of over 100 cap with two different countries. This 1997 jersey is one from the 3 seasons he was top scorer in Germany. German club FC Schalke 04 won its first major European trophy in 1997 by defeating Inter Milan for the Uefa Cup. American international Thomas Dooley wore this jersey during the Championship season. He captained the U.S. World Cup team in 1998. John Harkes was the first American player to compete in the English Premier League. Sheffield Wednesday defeat Manchester United in the 1991 English League Cup. This is his jersey. Glasgow Rangers have won a world record 51 domestic Championships. Mark Hateley, who has played in the USA, England and Italy, starred for the Scottish club in the 1990s. This jersey was used by Hateley in the Uefa Champions League from the 1993-94 season. Founded in 1869, Kilmarnock FC are the oldest club in Scotland.
